Eligibility Criteria:
Due to this position’s nature, the applicant will need the ability to work from home or during off-hours as necessary. Candidates must have:
- Must have experience in ETL testing.
- Good attitude and willing to work as a team
- Interested to learn and good communication skills
- Should be strong in data warehouse concepts and testing life cycle process.
- 2+ years of Hands-on experience in sql
- Understand various functional and non-functional requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute test cases using SQL and identify bugs with effective test & defect management.
Job Description:
The Quality Assurance (QA) engineer is part of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team, developing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure the quality of data pipelines, products, and services. Under the direction of the Manager of EDW Systems, you will participate in the QA planning, designing, developing, installing, testing, and supporting the complete QA management solutions to address ongoing business reporting needs and new opportunities. All in all, you play a vital role in the company’s product and service development process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
